Senior capacity whereit is needed most

Løwen was founded to fill a gap we have felt ourselves. Capable owners and executives know what ought to be done, but lack the capacity to drive it through alone, and often have no one to test their thinking against along the way. These initiatives are cross-disciplinary and do not delegate neatly down the organisation. They depend on the leader driving them personally, and that is exactly where capacity becomes the bottleneck.
Entering Norway is one of those initiatives. Two things make it harder from the outside than it looks on paper. The first is presence: decisions about which suppliers get considered are made in Norway, in conversations a foreign company is simply not part of. Someone local changes what you hear, and when you hear it.
The second is relationships. In Norwegian subsea the first real opportunity almost always arrives through someone who already knows you. That is not favouritism, it is rational risk reduction by the buyer, and it works the same way in every small industrial market. The consequence is that a network built over years cannot be bought with a marketing budget. It has to be built, or borrowed from someone who already has it.
What we add is capacity and access in the same person. Not a single narrow specialism, but engineering and commercial judgement together, built on long operational experience, Norwegian market knowledge and an international background in subsea and offshore. We bill for the hours we actually work, or a fixed retainer that keeps us available where the need is ongoing.

Cato Andersen holds an MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management, an education that combines engineering and economics in one degree, with over ten years of international leadership experience from the subsea and offshore industry. As Managing Director of IKM Subsea AS and Senior Vice President for Europe, Africa and South America, he held ultimate responsibility for operations in Norway and Brazil, leading substantial earnings improvements by turning around demanding operational situations. He also brings board experience from Norwegian companies, as chair and as board member. Today he applies the same combination of technical and commercial experience to international clients entering Norway, and to Norwegian companies, through Løwen.
